Austin area finally got some rain and a 'colder front' moved in so I took the boys to McKinney Falls State Park. The falls weren't really overflowing with water but for such a dry summer as this one is we couldn't have wished for more. We saw all 'points of interest' and hiked 2 trails (around 5 miles) which was for the boys in 95F (35 C) degree weather just enough. (Floppy raised my level of exercise to the max when she decided to chase a deer we met. No time to take pictures, but it looked something like this: a running deer followed by a loudly baying beagle and screaming me lagging behind them :)
