Great views, gorgeous nature and breathtaking fate of many historical buildings, that was our 2nd day in The Eagle Mountains. On our 40 km (25 miles) long bike tour in the mountain terrain we encountered more World War II bunkers, some beautiful bridges over Orlice River, had a beer in Poland (see another gallery) and also visited two amazing churches. Those buildings saw the first light of a day in 16 hundreds and almost didn't survive 20th century. They went through so much during World War II and subsequent hostile years of communism that they developed their own personalities. Being on such places felt like talking to an old man that went through it all. Nowadays at least the great church of Neratov is undergoing a careful reconstruction and I believe even the other one will find a better fate than a death within walls of an already dead cemetery.
