Alpine Meadows Ski Area at North Lake Tahoe: a variety of expert terrain, sweeping intermediate bowls and scenic trails is a great combination for the renowned 'third day'. On the top of the most peaks you can choose either some sharp drop or an easier way down. The resort with its 13 lifts is bigger than it looks from the base lodge, it has a vast back part to it. The weather was great but the quality of snow reminded us it is a spring already: icy on the top and slushy snow in the lower elevations.
